Utilizing the same design language as the Samsung ecosystem will make InSight feel like a natural extension of Samsung's products.

Background
The design process for InSight, was initiated in response to the Re:create design challenge brief, which focused on recycling or repurposing Samsung products.

Over three weeks, our condensed design journey progressed through focused research, rapid ideation, and product development phases. The objective was to swiftly develop a user-centric solution that integrates innovative technology with sustainable design principles. Throughout the abbreviated timeline, an iterative approach was employed to refine concepts and ensuring the final product met the needs of its intended users within the tight timeframe
Research 1 week
The research phase primarily involved desktop research, where we delved into Samsung products to compile a list of components and materials suitable for repurposing. Additionally, we examined societal forces and identified macro trends to inform our understanding of the broader context. Subsequently, we defined key problems to address, laying the groundwork for the ideation phase.

Ideation 1 week
In the ideation phase, we gathered relevant information and analyzed insights to inform decision-making. Utilizing the data compiled during the research phase, we brainstormed and facilitated creative sessions to generate ideas and innovative solutions. These sessions encouraged collaboration and exploration of various concepts, ensuring a diverse range of ideas were considered. Throughout the ideation process, we iterated on concepts, evaluating and refining ideas through iterative processes to enhance viability and effectiveness. This iterative approach allowed us to refine our concepts and ensure they aligned with the needs of our target users.

Product Development 1 week
In the finalization phase, we concluded the design process by honing in on the details of the product and further refining our concepts. Building upon the ideation phase, we transitioned into 3D modeling and prototyping to actualize our ideas. This phase involved meticulous design iterations to ensure both functionality and user-friendliness. Additionally, we crafted a presentation to effectively communicate the finalized product, incorporating compelling images and visuals to convey the design concept and its benefits.
